Grace + Eryk// Sweet Church Wedding

Nothing is more romantic than high school sweethearts getting married in an elegant church. Grace and Eryk's New York wedding was a dreamy and intimate day with so many romantic moments.

Eryk wore a smart black suit with a blue vest and bow tie. Getting ready with his best side of the bridal party before the first look, he was relaxed and excited at the same time. The ring bearer carried the rings in a treasure chest and proudly wore a badge saying, "Ring security." Pirate or police, he was the cutest little guy ever and nearly stole the show with his adorable smile. Grace and her bridesmaid were also having lots of fun getting ready. They also had a flower girl who was so excited about her special role.

Grace wore dramatic make-up with her blond hair in a trendy braided style with pearl accessories. Her dress was so gorgeous with soft lace embellishments all over and a long veil completed the look. She carried such a magnificent bouquet of blue, purple and white flowers with a sentimental embroidered handkerchief tied to the stem.

I love the images of Grace looking out the window with the church in the background. So dreamy, and then the bridesmaids arrive with shots - from the quiet romantic moment to the fun, festive ones, and that is one of many reasons why weddings are so great!

They were married at the Cross Roads Christian Fellowship. The church is beautiful inside and out, with stained glass windows and well-preserved antique wooden pews.

Right before the ceremony started, Grace had a first look with her father before he walked her down the aisle. The ceremony was so lovely, with music performed by the bridal party, prayers and a very emotional ring and vow exchange. All the guests were moved, seeing Grace and Eryk holding hands at the altar as they became man and wife. They sealed their union with a kiss and everyone congratulated the newlyweds.

The group photos were taken outside with those glorious church windows as the backdrop. (I'm a little obsessed with church windows - they are just so pretty.) We captured a nice mix of formal and candid bridal party images, then I whisked the couple inside the church again for some intimate couple photos.

The reception, also at the church, was a celebration of love with dancing, smooching, speeches and laughter. Try not to fall in love with the rustic centerpieces with candles and lanterns on wood and flowers and greenery wrapped organically around the base. You could see the love that went into these pretty handmade centerpieces.

The wedding cake was a buttercream creation with a cake topper. But cake could wait because we had an epic sunset. Look at the soft light, Grace's veil flowing in the wind, and the joy as Grace and Eryk relaxed, knowing they pulled off their best day ever but still had a night of celebrating ahead. I hope you enjoyed the photos as much as we all enjoyed the day!
